Michael Volle
Michael Volle studied primarily under Josef Metternich and Rudolf Piernay. He has established an international reputation as a singer through his long-term engagements at the opera houses of Mannheim, Bonn, Düsseldorf and Cologne and has made guest appearances at major music festivals and opera houses throughout Europe.
Michael Volle is much in demand as a recitalist and as a concert soloist with such distinguished conductors as Seiji Ozawa, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Charles Dutoit, James Conlon, Ingo Metzmacher, Helmut Rilling and Valery Gergiev.
He has recorded for a variety of labels, and his radio and television appearances include the Schwetzinger Festival production of Don Giovanni for ARTE.
