Ofelia Sala
Born in Valencia, the soprano Ofelia Sala studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Valencia, completing her studies at the Munich Musikhochschule. The winner of several first prizes, she has appeared in leading theatres and opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Chicago Lyric Opera, the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, Teatro Real Madrid, Palau de les Arts Valencia, Teatro Euskalduna ABAO in Bilbao, Oviedo Opera House, Teatro de la Maestranza in Sevilla, Bayerische Staatsoper Munich, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Semperoper Dresden, Oper Lepizig, Prinzregententheater Munich, Théâtre Châtelet, Paris, New National Theater Tokyo, De Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam, and the National Opera in Seoul. Her rôles have included Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Aminta (Die schweigsame Frau), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Aspasia (Mitridate), Gilda (Rigoletto), Nannetta (Falstaff), Norina (Don Pasquale), Ginevra (Ariodante), Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice), Diana (L’Arbore di Diana), Adele (Die Fledermuas), Titania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and L’Ânge (Saint François d’Assise). She has also appeared internationally in major concert venues and collaborated with the most distinguished conductors.
