Christine Schäfer
Christine Schäfer was born in Frankfurt and began to study singing at the College of Arts in Berlin. In 1985 she took part in four masterclass courses given by Arleen Augér. Then came her first song recitals in Berlin, Frankfurt and Stuttgart. In November 1988 Christine Schäfer was awarded a prize at the German VDMK contest. In 1989 she made her first record with songs composed by Aribert Reimann. Christine Schäfer has given concerts at home and abroad, among others at the Mahler Festival Toblach, the Staufen Week of Music and the Bach Festival in Los Angeles.
