Olga Sandu
Romanian contralto Olga Sandu studied music and singing at the Bucharest University of Music from 1960–65. She became an ensemble member of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and later joined the Hanover Opera. Numerous opera engagements took her to other countries, such as France, Holland, Austria, Portugal and Italy. She has held teaching positions at various institutions, including the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in Frankfurt a. M. and the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. From 1983 to 1993 she was the voice coach of the Wiesbaden Boys Choir, which she also supported as a soloist at concerts.
